Team of Medical Professionals

Staffed by 120 licensed veterinarians and nurses, our experienced team strives to provide the very best of care and support for both pets and owners. We take a great deal of pride in making comprehensive veterinary services accessible, intimate, and high-standard.
Dr. Gary qualified from Murdoch University in 2009 and later obtained PGCertVS and MVS certificates. With a strong interest in orthopedics and soft tissue surgery, he joined The Ark in 2010, and became our Hospital Manager in 2016. Dr. Gary is aware of the stress vets are facing from constantly coping with patients' death and managing client expectations. So he devotes his time to guiding fresh vets and checking in on the wellbeing of those around him. Aspiring to enhance the quality of local services, Dr. Gary makes every effort to establish open communication with pet-owners and promote proper pet care. It’s his #1 priority to ensure our furiends are treated with compassionate care, so that they can lead a healthy, happy life!

Dr Anne graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2013 with BVMedSci, BVMBVS and MRCVS. Upon returning to Hong Kong, Dr Anne worked in a private veterinary clinic for 3 years. In 2017, in hopes to do more for the welfare of animals in Hong Kong, Dr Anne joined SPCA(HK). To broaden her experiences further, Dr Anne joined Pet Space group in 2021. With her interest in internal medicine, Dr Anne enjoys being able to follow cases through in our 24-hour hospital. As part of her commitment to a profession of lifelong education, Dr Anne also completed her CertAVP with The University of Liverpool in 2021, with a focus in small animal medicine. Dr Anne is a firm believer of a strong vet-client-patient bond, in order to provide the best tailored outcome for individual patients.

After qualifying from the University of Queensland in 2008 with a BVSc (Hons), Dr. Karin got certified as a Level 3 Veterinary Acupuncturist. She spent 2 years in mixed practice at Island Veterinary Services of Discovery Bay and Tung Chung Animal Clinic. After qualifying from the University of Melbourne, Dr. Ross practiced in both Melbourne and the UK, where he gained valuable experience in diagnosis with small animals, hospitalization, surgery, and anesthesia. He moved to Hong Kong in 2006 and over the years he has observed that skin problems are prevalent among local pets due to the humidity, and since then has been keen on providing radical treatments for better health management. Dr. Ross once treated a dog with GDV and once delivered a C-section using anesthesia, which were both unforgettable moments in his career. He only became part of our team at The Ark this year in March, and we are all excited to have him on board.

Dr. Benjamin graduated from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom with BA, VetMB and MRCVS. He moved to Hong Kong in 2006 and since then he has been dedicating at taking care of animals at different veterinary clinics and hospitals. Over the years, not only has he gained valuable experience in the field of small animals and emergency practice, but he also discovered his special interests in internal medicine, feline medicine and ultrasonography. He joined The Ark of Pet Space Group for there is a diverse and caring medical team to provide veterinary family practice, as well as emergency and critical care. Outside of work, Dr. Benjamin enjoys traveling, photography and gaming.

Dr. Suki is a passionate veterinarian who obtained her Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland in 2020 and her Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Deakin University in 2014. Her veterinary interests lie within internal medicine, oncology and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Suki wishes to integrate both western and Chinese veterinary medicine to help manage chronic diseases and improve her animal patients' quality of life. In her free time, Dr. Suki loves playing video games which helps de-stress after long days at work. She also has a Pomeranian named Bear who she adores; he’s always the centre of attention at home with his toys - especially when doing his happy dance!

Growing up in Hong Kong, Dr. Giordanna developed loving relationships with her pets in her childhood, driving her to pursue a career in veterinary science. She graduated from Murdoch University in 2008 with her bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery. She worked at a 24-hour animal clinic and a non-profit veterinary organisation in Hong Kong, before joining Pet Space in 2015. Dr Giordanna has a passion for feline medicine and diagnostic ultrasound, topics for which she has completed various distance education courses and training. She is keen on advancing her studies and skills, as well as establishing trusting relationships with her clients. At home, she has 3 exotic shorthair rescue cats, named Pearl, Bella and Jem.

With an interest in small animals, especially rabbits, he aspires to help owners understand and fulfill their pets’ physical and mental needs. He considers continous education, honest communication, and engaging in positive interaction with animals, important factors in improving their wellbeing and promoting animal welfare. During his 2 years with us, he has received thank-you cards from clients and an outstanding improvement award from the company, from which he gained confidence and became even more determined in his lifelong career path. Dr. Edwin has 2 adopted cats at home, friendly Dai Kiu and inquisitive Siu Kiu.

She has a love for all felines, big and small, but also cannot resist sweet little chihuahuas, adorable poodles, or playful labradors. Treating complex medical conditions and performing foreign object surgeries bring her a sense of accomplishment. She thinks of veterinarians as a combination of detectives and artisans - with attention and delicacy, complemented by honest communication, she is confident in guiding owners toward the best treatment for their pets. Besides improving medical knowledge and technical skills, Dr. Mancy believes in lifelong learning and emphasizes on proactive listening with empathy.

Dr. Barry qualified from Massey University of New Zealand in 2009 and he obtained his Bachelors of Veterinary Science. After graduation, Dr. Barry worked in the first 24hour veterinary hospital in Singapore for 4 years before moving back to Hong Kong in 2013. He has been practising small animal medicine and surgery for the past 8 years. Over the years, Dr. Barry has developed special interests in dermatology, nutrition and ultrasonography. He believes that  through effective client education, we can help promote animal healthcare in the local community.

Dr. Barry qualified from Massey University of New Zealand in 2009 and he obtained his Bachelors of Veterinary Science. Some of the most memorable moments for her include feeding baby birds at a wildlife animal conservation center, and treating a horse with intestinal colic in the middle of the night. She hopes to further her studies in dermatology and hippiatrics. Dr. Eva loves the team spirit at Pet Space because they are easy to get along with and actively provide mutual support. Outside of work, Dr. Eva enjoys playing with her high-spirited toy poodle, her buddy for 13 years since university days.

With years of experience in various clinics, she later ventured into teaching veterinary medicine for two years. Dr. Catherine ultimately returned to clinical work as she missed the direct interaction with patients and clients. Her veterinary interests revolve around internal medicine and endocrinology. Currently, she is pursuing a certificate and registration as a canine and feline specialist with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioner. Dr. Catherine values the clinic's ethos and is proud to be part of a caring team. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, trail running, and indulging in multi-day trekking holidays.

Dr Motlotleng graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) in 2021. He then went on to work as a radiograph analyst in South Africa, before moving to Hong Kong to continue his career as a veterinary clinician. One of his goals is to further develop his skills in small animal surgery, soft tissue and orthopaedics in particular. Outside of the clinic, Dr Motlotleng is an avid football fan, and enjoys travelling to major football stadia as well as working out in the gym.

One of her interests is in alternative medicine such as acupuncture, in order to improve patients’ quality of life. Outside of the clinic, Dr Jasmine looks after Sonny, her American short hair and enjoys both pilates and exploring different restaurants in town.

Dr Yoki graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science followed by a Master of Veterinary Medicine. She started her veterinary career in Australia, at a clinic which cooperated with a race dog rescue program before moving to Hong Kong for veterinary work involved in shelter animal management. Dr Yoki is particularly interested in animal behaviour, surgery and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine, as well as animal welfare. In her spare time, she will either be at home reading with her cat or outside, exploring Hong Kong with her greyhound rescue.

With a particular interest in diagnostic imaging and ultrasonography, Jeremy brings a breadth of knowledge from his experiences working in emergency, ICU and surgical departments at a 24/7 emergency and referral centre in Melbourne.  He has moved to Hong Kong in search of a new life adventure and to reconnect with his cultural roots. Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys travelling, sport and exploring the cafes and restaurants Hong Kong has to offer.

Dr Wong Chun graduated from the University of Queensland, Australia, in 2016 and has practiced as a veterinarian in Hong Kong since. He aims to work as a ‘family vet', similar to family medicine for people, with a particular focus on geriatrics and chronic diseases. During his free time, he likes to spend time with his 4 years old Japanese Spitz – Kodi and 8 years old Fischer’s lovebird – Birdie.  Dr Dennis is a skilled tennis player and enjoys music and PC gaming.

Dr Sharron graduated from Royal Veterinary college with a Bachelor of BioVeterinary Sciences and a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine. After studying in London for 7 years, she has come to back to Hong Kong to start her career with experience in small animals. She is particularly interested in internal medicine and cardiology in small animals. Outside of work, Dr Sharron spends time with her 2 pets Taizi and Daosa, and enjoys writing, gaming and coffee runs.

Dr Lydia Graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, The University of Edinburgh, UK in 2022 with another bachelor of veterinary medicine and surgery in China Agricultural University, Beijing.  She is interested in Cardiology, ophthalmology & Traditional Chinese Medicine.  During her free time, she likes to play table tennis, travelling and exploring food and bubble tea around Hong Kong.

Dr Ken is a dedicated veterinarian with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology (BVB) and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). After completing high school in Hong Kong, he pursued six years of rigorous study at a University in Sydney, Australia.  Dr. Ken began his career as an animal attendant while in vet school, he is passionate about small animal internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.  His goal is to further his expertise through postgraduate studies in internal medicine and ultrasound, aiming to become a well-rounded veterinarian who effectively educates clients on the significance of animal health.  Ken's commitment to comprehensive veterinary care aligns perfectly with the values of the Pet Space Group. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his beloved pets, including his 10-year-old golden retriever, Tissue, and two recently adopted rescue kittens. In his leisure time, Ken also enjoys playing golf and football with friends.

Dr. Lawren Durocher-Babek is board certified in Small Animal Internal Medicine by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.  She received her undergraduate and veterinary school degrees from the University of Georgia.  She then did an internship at Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario.  Dr. Lawren completed a three-year internal medicine residency and master's degree at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.  Her research into ketosis in diabetic dogs earned her the ACVIM National Residency Research Award.  After becoming board certified in 2007, she has worked in private referral hospitals in North Carolina, New Jersey, and Hong Kong. She became certified in Hospice and Palliative Care through the International Association of Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) in 2019.  Her areas of special interest include hospice and palliative care, chronic kidney disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and endocrinopathies.
